Green Hack: garden and outdoor spaces

Use a water-butt (or any outdoor container) to collect rainwater for plants

The importance of using naturally-collected water to save water

Installing a water-butt or simply using an outdoor container to collect rainwater can ensure you save water when watering both outdoor and indoor plants. Using a hosepipe to water your garden and indoor plants can use large amounts of water, costing both yourself and the environment.

Rainwater also has much fewer chemicals in and is much better for your plants, especially sensitive ones!
